The Life Lessons College Failed to Teach You
So you just graduated college, settled into your first apartment and realize that you just signed a lease with the devil’s spawn. What do you do? Life Lessons College Failed to Teach You provides young adults with a peer-to peer guide to negotiating life after college.
Who am I? I'm a relatable, successful twenty-something-year old sales account executive working at Tory Burch. When I graduated at the age of twenty, I had no idea what the real world was like – just like all my peers. After a series of epic fails and learning the hard way, I decided to write the book I wish I'd had been given with my diploma. Life Lessons College Failed to Teach You provides personal and informative stories with a dash of comic relief on topics such as roommates from hell, corporate restructures, dating life (or lack thereof), and the importance of work-life balance.
On March 29 of this year, my book proposal was featured by Microsoft Office in a Skype consult and workshop with Nicole Richie, actress, designer, and New York Times best-selling author; and Caroline Ghosn, founder and CEO of Levo, a company that helps millennials figure out their career path (https://www.levo.com/). The workshop was live-streamed and received 52,000 views. After discussing the proposal for Life Lessons College Failed to Teach You, Nicole Richie said: “This book is amazing . . . it’s needed, it’s incredible. This is something that is really new, really cool, and should catch on really fast… she’s the voice that’s going to be able to go and [provide millennials insight].” Caroline Ghosn described the book as “very very much needed, especially in this day and age.”
